The School

Kāpiti Summer School offers adults a delightful range of useful and practical short courses hosted by local experts. From Food to Outdoors, Professional to Lifestyle and Entertainment, you are sure to find a course which enriches your life in a meaningful way. Small class sizes ensure that you get the very most from each course and all of our courses range from half-days to several days in length – making them accessible and easy to plan around.

Kapiti Summer School Charitable Trust

Lynette Ellison and Sue Harris are co-founders of Kāpiti Summer School Charitable Trust. Equally as dedicated and excited about the Kapiti Summer School is our Treasurer Rachel Browne and Marketing Director Rachel Kirsopp.

The four of us bring a wealth of business and life experience to the inaugural presentation of the 2019 Kāpiti Summer School.

We can see the potential for the Kāpiti Summer School to attract visitors to Kapiti for an activities holiday as well as offering opportunities for locals and regular holidaymakers to expand their interests, and for the Summer School to give people with passion an opportunity to Tutor in their field of expertise.

Many of the Tutors are using this platform to take their business to the next level of success. Encouragement is being given to the Tutors to publicise their products and ongoing personal tutoring classes and workshops as well as developing networking links with other Tutors.

Our vision is for the Kāpiti Summer School to be an ongoing annual event, building on the success and experiences of the inaugural season.
